Obituary for John Whitman

John L. Whitman, age 67 of Williamsburg, Ky., passed away Tuesday August 7, 2018 at Continue Care Hospital in Corbin, Ky. He was born February 1, 1951 in Brooksville, Florida to the late James L. and Florence Louise Wilson Whitman.
He is survived by his companion Arlene Adkins of Williamsburg, Ky., 3 Children; Shawn Whitman (Stephanie) of Steinhatchee, Florida, Melissa Coleman (John) of Trinity, Florida, Justin Whitman (Trista Baker) of Clearwater, Florida, 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 Step Daughter; Ashley Bisschop (Gerald Michael) of Corbin, Ky., 1 Step Son; Andrew Adkins (Charray) of Hamilton, Ohio, 2 brothers; Rick Whitman (Betty) of Weeki Wachee, Florida, Gary Whitman of Homosassa Springs, Florida , several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Memorial service will be 7:00 pm Saturday August 11, 2018 at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Wilder and Rev. Gary Lovitt officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
